Deltar

Dear Visitor

As an acoustic scientist, with a background in researching the sound of the jet engine at King’s College, London University, I always thought that one day I would make the journey from the world of sound into the world of music.

In the early 1980s, I founded my own art movement, Deltaism, a modern art form founded on the shape of the delta.

Therefore, when I finally entered the world of music, it seemed only natural to use my sound engineering expertise to invent a new musical instrument. Equally, it seemed fitting that this instrument should assume the shape of the delta.

With the Deltar, I have brought together both of these influences on me. It is a new musical instrument with advanced acoustic specifications and features:

  1. In geometrical terms, the Deltar is a tetrahedron and in physical terms it is a prism.
  2. It is ergonomic – easy to handle and use.
  3. It is compact and has excellent space utilization characteristics.
  4. It is an instrument and also a piece of art.
  5. Its sound quality, contour orientation and tuning are very special.

As the inventor of this instrument, I am proud to introduce you to the delights of the Deltar…

Regards,

Professor Ali
